Assistant Secretary for the Insular Areas Esther Kia’aina, has created the position of Climate Change Coordinator in the Department of the Interior.
The position is responsible for "helping leaders of the U.S. insular areas plan and prepare for the impacts of climate change in their respective jurisdictions."
