Residents of Pierce County in Washington State are on alert after another confirmed case of measles was reported earlier this month.

The affected is a “young woman” who has been in contact with persons of the first reported case in the county. The group in the first case is described as a “community from Federated States of Micronesia”.

Health officials have released a notice that persons who may have been in contact with her should seek medical attention. As of now, a local grocery store that she visited during the Fourth of July weekend has been alerted as well as the hospital where she was admitted.

There have been two reported outbreaks in Pohnpei and Kosrae since May and June. No further updates have been made.
