New Film 'Jilel: The Calling of the Shell' Trailer and Short Film 'Zori' Released
/Award winning film makers, Jack Niedenthal and Suzanne Chutaro have released a trailer for their upcoming film 'Jilel: The Calling of the Shell'. Premiere date for the film is yet to be announced. Stay tuned and we will update on any information regarding the film.
“Jilel (The Calling of the Shell) is the story of Molina, a young Marshallese girl who is confronted
for the first time with the idea that her island—her beloved homeland—is vanishing
because of the rising seas caused by world-wide global warming and
how she turns the tide of doom.”
Jack Niedenthal also released his short film 'Zori' online. 'Zori' was featured in a number of film festivals including the Guam International Film Festival, Hawaii International Film Festival, and New England Underground Film Fest. In Guam, this short film won Audience Choice Award and was the official selection for both Hawaii and New England film festivals.
